Spooky Technology
2021
Professors - Dan Lockton, Daragh Byrne
Lead Book Design, editor & researcher
While technology should be inherited explainable, our everyday encounters with different technological products often remain somewhat magical. By documenting the ‘unexplainable and spooky’ anecdotes of our interactions with technology, we are not mystifying technology but taking a critical and poetic lens to reflect our relationship with it. The visual design intends to create a sense of digital spookiness by the monotone color and ghost-like noise blur. Each chapter is labeled with a synthetic neon color.
